I hadn't planned to write a journal. This is not a place for thought and reflection but rather for collection and consideration.

I've gone out of my way to fav some of the most "controversial" and "shocking" images of people on DA. I did it to prove a point.

By now I've fav'ed 39 deviations. Take a look at my fav's though and you'll find only 32. What happened to the other 7? Seven pix, (around 20%) of my favs were deleted by DA. Why? You tell me. Take a look at the remainder. The missing seven were more of the same, neither better nor worse. Some did show genitalia (male and female) but none were any more "offensive" than the almost three dozen remaining.

So what's up wit' that? Maybe the cock shots were deleted becasue they showed BIG cocks and the DA boyz were jealous? Hmn... then what about the rather nice self-portrait by Sydney2? No cock (Syd's a she) but a bit of the pink. Maybe DA only likes the naughty bits when they're blurry and in black and white? That makes it "Art" right? Right? Oh, sorry, were you... fine I'll wait until you're finished. Here, have a Kleenex. All done? Cool. So anyway, maybe it's art, maybe it's something else but why does some of it get the axe and some of it doesn't?

My personal feeling, based on long...long....LONG time spent on DA (and not as ym3) convinces me that their are one or two admins that just enjoy cruising through the galleries and looking for "smut". Yep, it's Thanksgiving here in the U.S. You know, family, good feelings and turkey and here's someone sitting hunched over their PC breathing through their mouth and sweating heavily and looking for deviations to delete. This admin is the real Thanksgiving turkey.

Do I know for sure that it's one guy (gotta' be a guy - trust me). Nope. But the timing of deletions as well as the specific deviations that are (and aren't) deleted lead me to believe it's one (or two) fellas. Thus free speech and artistic merit take second place on DA to the whims of some puritanical bird, not a turkey really but a buzzard with something stuck in his craw.

Oh, the title of this peice? Go see "Team America - World Police" if it's still in theaters. Then you'll get the joke. In the meantime I'm going to go fav some more "smut" then I'm going to go have some good old apple pie.
